GPS for Humans

Create a Personal
Road Map

The GPS for Humans is a three step navigational tool to assist you in goal-setting, goal planning and creating a schedule. It opens up dialogue between you and your circle of support team. Mary created the program for individuals who are incarcerated. However, many students, elementary through high school, have completed the exercises.

“ I sent your GPS for Humans to my son. He began laying out a plan for a youth camp he would like to create when he is released. It’s like he found his purpose!” - from a mom whose son is incarcerated

“Mary came into my life at a point when I felt the most alone. Her guidance and unwavering support in assisting me in focusing on goal setting was pivotal in my progression. Eventual conditional release. Her passion and drive to be a force in the lives of those that made mistakes and seek to make amends and be successful in returning to our society, as productive and law abiding individuals...is inspiring. I have been in the community going on 7 years and owe her more than I could ever repay.”

“You put out good energy to kids about their lives. I was one of those kids in the justice system. Those times were hard back then-being away from my family. I wish I had someone like you when I was growing up. Maybe having support could have saved me from being incarcerated. Those are some of the things I think about from time to time. Kids need someone to guide them because we both know that’s when it matters the most.  Just know, when you get up every day, your good work is saving a kid’s life.”

“ I have personally known Mary for 15+ years. Who knew that this friendship would help my son when he found himself in some serious trouble with addiction and the court system!! Mary met with my son when he was in jail and also sent a letter to the judge on behalf of my son. I have no doubt that Mary’s letter kept my son from serving the maximum time. Instead he was sentenced to minimum time in jail. Once sentenced, she stayed in contact with him to make sure he was “ok” in jail. Mary has and always will be a strong advocate for at risk youth and young adults! Mary has a heart of gold and I am blessed to call her my friend!”

“Mary carries a spiritual torch within her that can light the way for others. She has been that light for me!”
